DUE: END OF THE HOUR TODAYFor today's response, you are to write 4-6 paragraphs in which you answer the following questions: How is Huck influenced by the following people: Tom Sawyer, Widow Douglas, Pap, and Jim? Who do you think has the most positive influence on Huck? Negative? Why?You must write at least one paragraph about each person and include the quote, chapter, page, and paragraph number for each quote. (CHAPTER, PAGE #, PAR. #)
skip lines between paragraphs

Huck is influenced by Tom Sawyer in many ways. He is his friend and he knows everything that he do he does it well- “I did wish Tom Sawyer was there, I knowed he would take an interest in this kind of business, and throw in the fancy touches. (7, 25, 12) Nobody could spread himself like Tom Sawyer in such a thing as that (7, 25, and 12). Tom sawyer is a very very tempting person. Tom likes to be in charge and run everything he likes to be an instructor well “the boss”. (2, 5, 8) “Now we’ll start this band of robbers and call it Tom Sawyer’s Gang.(2, 5, 8)

Huck is influenced by Widow Douglas in many ways. She was very nice to huck she tells him that she wants to do a lot for huck-“The widow Douglas, she took me for her son, and allowed she would sivilize me; but it was rough living in the house all time , considering how dismal regular and decent the widow was in all her ways; and so when I couldn't stand it no longer , I lit out.(1, 1, 2)-"Pretty soon I wanted to smoke, and asked the widow to let me. But she wouldn’t"(1, 2, 3).She made him stay in school, and didn’t allow him to smoke or do anything that she knew that was wrong.Widow was Huck's owner and guardian she was the one looking out for huck in everyway. She was a wonderful influence on Huck in his life she taught him the right things to do and the wrongs things to do, so that he would try in stay out of trouble.

Pap is Huck’s Dad, to me he was a bad influence on him.He wanted his own son to not be educated well smart and to not know anything at all. ‘’ You’re educated; too, they say; can read and write. You think you better’n your father, now, don’t you, because he cant.’’ Pap also, wanted him to drop out of school that is another reason why he is a bad influence on Huck which is son. "Well, I'll learn how to meddle. And looky here- you drop that school, you hear?(5,15,7).

Huck is influenced by Jim both of them are friends. When they were at the island and they became better friends and had to work together to live. He helped him steal from this dead mans house he stole the chester, cloths and helped to steal the one boat and by being a little afrraid with the snake and everything. “You said it was the worst luck in the world to touch a snake-skin with my hands.”(10, 39, 3). He was a good friend because he kept the secrets that Huck told him.

The most positive influence on Huck is Widow Douglas because she keeps him doing the things that he needs to do she keeps him on track and watches out for him. The worst would have to be Pap because Pap was just a man that had no kinda respect for his child and he was an un educated person who was a horrible parent. He was a drunk and very abbusive and only wanted his son for his son's money.
